Earlier Tuesday morning, it was reported that Antaun Teasley, personal chef to and good friend of the Miami Heat’s Norris Cole, was shot and killed at popular Miami Beach nightclub, Mansion.

Police say a fight broke out in the VIP section, and a weapon was fired, leaving Teasely the lone victim.

Teasely, 42, was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center, where he died hours later.

Cole has been held back from his media availability by the Miami Heat on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, as news began to spread of Teasley’s death, other athletes — including Cole’s backcourt teammate Mario Chalmers, have taken to Twitter and Instagram to express their grief:
