For Tiki Kaliki, life must be one big party. The Hukilau organizer has been influential in getting live music at the Mai Kai, as well as corralling tikiphiles from all over the damn place for her rum-soaked bashes. Word around the wicker bar is that Ms. Tiki is kickin’ it out to San Antonio and tonight is the going away party. Oh yeah, and you won’t want to miss it.

Starting at 5 p.m., the action gets going at the Wreck Bar inside the Sheraton Yankee Clipper (1140 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). That’s where you’ll see the enchanting Marina the Mermaid swimming behind portals as you sip on happy hour cocktails. Then the party moves over to the Mai-Kai(3599 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale); it’s Friday which means lovely $5 vodka mai tais for the ladies. Also, you can shake a hip (or two) to Slip and the Spin Outs as they hang ten on some mean surf rock and get one last dance out of Tiki Kaliki before she hits the ol’ dusty. (But don’t fret, Hukilau will still continue.) Call 954-563-3272, or visit www.maikai.com.
