Those familiar with mad genius laptop musician Otto Von Schirach know the dude and his IDM sounds can be a bit intimidating. This breakcore artist is merely a backdrop to the two blood-curdling slasher flicks (Re-Animator and Night of the Creeps) at this month’s edition of Splatter-Rama. The monthly cinema event, held by Radio-Active Records, has been moved from its usual slot on the last Sunday of the month to Wednesday night just for your spine-chilling delight. It’s a costume party too, so come in your spookiest garb and get there early, as the first 50 people receive horror gift bags. By the way, lest we forget the free drinks — that’s right: free beer and alcohol all night with paid admission.
The fun begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday at C&I Studios, 541 NW First Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Entry is $10 in costume, $15 without. Call 954-762-9488, or visit radio-active-records.com.

Wed., Oct. 31, 8 p.m., 2012
