It’s official: Kanye West’s star-studded Glow in the Dark Tour is dampening music critics’ panties everywhere it travels. Even seasoned haters are raving: they’re calling it the “ultimate concert experience” and “the show to redefine arena performance.” It seems that West’s world-famous ego might have finally found an environment that suits it: the vacuum of deep space.
It goes like this: West’s spaceship crashes, transforming the stage into an extension of the cosmos. He, a lone rapper on a quest to alter the status quo, must conquer the universe’s magnitude and get his spaceship home. Expect aliens, LED lights, soliloquies, a strong man vs. universe plot line, and lots and lots booty shakin’ hits.
But don’t think Kanye’s alone on this mission. No. He’s got Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., and Chris Brown’s latest crush, Rihanna backin’ him up at American Airlines Arena (601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami).
