The deal: Suite 100 features a variety of lunch specials every weekday. Chef Ted Inserra changes up the lunch menu daily, which includes several different salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Prices range from $7-$9 and all entrees and sandwiches come with sides and/or french fries.
What you get: The lunch specials change daily. When we were there, the menu featured a caesar salad with mahi-mahi, seared tilapia with rice and vegetables, arroz con pollo, a tuna melt on rye, a turkey BLT wrap, fish tacos and a grilled chicken sandwich.
We tried: Two soft fish tacos arrived on a large platter, accompanied by lettuce, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, rice and beans. The fish was fried cod, crispy and seasoned. The beans had just the right hint of spice and the fixings made for a customized taco. The tacos were a bargain at $7, but skip the $2.95 diet coke and opt for an iced water to keep your lunch under $10 with tax and tip.
Bonus points: Suite 100 is located in Las Olas Riverwalk. Dine “al fresco” on their large outdoor patio along the river and watch the boats sail by. Take an extended lunch on a sunny day, enjoy the scenery and be very glad you live in South Florida.
