Looks like the zoophiles we interviewed for this New Times feature didn’t convince Sen. Nan Rich. The Sunrise-based state legislator has re-introduced a bill that would make it a crime for a human being to have sex with an animal.

Last year, though, her bill’s first draft made human-animal sex a felony. It was watered down to a misdemeanor, before ultimately stalling out in a legislative session dominated by a horrific budget crunch and the gambling compact with the Seminoles. Tomorrow the bill is scheduled to come up for discussion in the Senate’s criminal justice committee.
