Why, it was just a couple of years ago that we had to wait for the paparazzi’s film to get developed, for magazines to be shipped off to the printer, and then wait for the mailman to bring our People magazine to find out that stars — they’re just like us on Christmas! Nowadays, this knowledge is instant. Thanks, Twitter and Instagram!

Here’s what a few of our favorite South Florida characters were up to this holiday:

After making an appearance at Jingle Ball in Miami, Boca Raton-bred teenager and Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande showed her 12 million Twitter followers how cute her grandpa is:

Dennis Rodman returned Monday from his third trip to North Korea, but on Christmas Eve, Paddy Power, the Irish betting company that sponsored his last two trips there announced that it would no longer send him. The decision was a result of Jim Jong Un’s having ordered the execution of his own uncle. In a statement, the company said, “It was really a reaction to the worldwide focus and total condemnation of the North Korean regime over recent events. We don’t want to be associated with that.”
