The offices to the Delray Beach Police Department have reopened after an unidentified man suffering from stab wounds walked into the lobby around 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The courthouse garage and area around the courthouse, off of Atlantic and NW Third avenues, had been closed off but are now open again.

The victim was taken to Delray Medical Center in serious condition while the lobby of the station was closed off, according to the department’s Facebook page. The courthouse garage, the back of the courthouse, and the sidewalk in front of the courthouse were also closed off.

An unidentified female suspect was taken into custody, according to Delray Beach Police Sgt. Nicole Guerriero.

Since the stabbing investigation is in its preliminary stages, police aren’t saying how the victim and woman are connected.

The parking garage, back parking lot, the front of the South County Courthouse, and the Police Department were taped off during the investigation. The main courthouse entrance on the east side remained open to the public.
